With the upcoming congressional debate over military action in Syria, we’re working on a new show exploring the history of US humanitarian interventions overseas. We’ll consider what makes for a “humanitarian” intervention, and how that idea itself emerged. And we’ll be looking to specific interventions in American history – exploring when and why the US has become involved in foreign conflicts.
