The Yale University Class of 1870 was so proud of its members’ facial hair, that the yearbook even broke the class’s facial hairdos down by specific type – whether mere “hopeful scrags” or a full “moustache and imperial”!
For those of you participating in Movember, we offer this selection of 1870’s finest students as historical inspiration (and we extend our hearty sympathies to anyone who “is applying blisters”).
