Peter’s MOOC

Published: February 7, 2014

Have you ever wished you could take a class with one of the history guys? Well now’s your chance! Our 18th Century Guy, Peter Onuf, will be teaching a massive open online course – a MOOC – exploring the life and legacy of Thomas Jefferson. The six week course is co-sponsored by the University of Virginia and Monticello, and you’ll get to spend an hour each week with Peter, as he guides you through the “Age of Jefferson” – thinking about Jefferson’s views on power, religion, and equality; his complicated relationship with the institution of slavery; and his lasting impact on the United States.

And did we mention that it’s completely free?!

    Yes, please. Awesome.
Peter, you need to advertise this more strongly- I would have no idea this exists except that I’m an extreme fan of the show, and I also happen to know what the hell a MOOC is.
